FOUNDER
Emmy Polkamp was born in ’s Hertogenbosch at 18 January 1989. Since she was already creative when she was a little child it was not unexpected that she ended up studying at Design Academy Eindhoven at the department Man & Leisure. As a designer she always had interest in humanitarian and social project . Being outside, camping and thinking of solutions for bigger concepts triggered her creative mind often. It’s not strange that she therefore graduated successful with the social project To Many Places. She could finally carry out her vision!
THE IDEA BEHIND TO MANY PLACES
Emmy Polkamp created the concept to serve a double purpose: to raise awareness of empty and abandoned buildings, and provide an alternative to traditional hotel accommodation. The idea for a travelling hotel originated when she was in Slovenia in the summer of 2015. There she slept in a hotel that was located in a beautiful anti-squat building, but the owner told her he had to stop the hotel because he could no longer make use of this location. Then the idea for a hotel that travels from one spot to the other popped up into her head. Because you don’t have to stay in one city with your hotel, you can re-use empty buildings and give them a new purpose instead of having them empty. The concept of To Many Places was born!

2.TENT RENTAL
Already have your own event but no matching sleeping accommodation? You can also rent our tents as a single unit to make your event complete. Take as an example a bachelor party, wedding or special event.

3. COLLABORATION
We like to work together with as many parties as possible.
We have therefore worked together with Dutch Design Foundation, Theater Festival Boulevard , The Studenthotel, Bureau Europa, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Hutspot and Pique_Unique.
Every party brings in there strong quality and therefore the most original events are created.
Take as an example the sleepover at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen,
(Rotterdam, september 2017) where To Many Places created an event together with Hutspot. The visitors could join a private tour after closing time, after which they could spend some more time at there favourite art piece. After this they enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by Pique_Unique and end the day in one of our tents.
